Hi there,
Hope you are doing well.
The North Eastern NITs act as the last option for students who fail to get a good rank in JEE Mains, while they may be still NITs but they are not at par with the Southern or Northern NITs.
Some of the cons are:-

  • Poor or Very Poor Placement record ( except NIT Agartala and NIT Silchar )
  • NO permanent Campus
  • Poor Facilities
  • Not Easily Accessible
  • Weather would be different for Delhi NCR students

some pros are:-

  • Ok type placement for branches like CSE, IT or ECE
  • Good Environment
  • Good locations
  • Low number of students

Hope it would help.
Thank You
