Cse at derabasi is a new concept, the coming batch will the be the second batch for it, although according to thapar it should have god placement but hostel qnd atmosphere at derabassi is not that good what you'll get at thapar patiala. Also ECE at thapar has a good past placements records and is still considered to be one of the good branches.  But if you only want Computer Science and you have interest in it only then you should go for it, your interest should be the main priority.
