You should blindly go for thapar university. Because the placements there are amazing. The amazing placement, fee structure and the campus all is very nice. So thapar is best of all.

Is ECE branch is good at thapar in terms of faculty, placement, package, syllabus, etc ?

Yes its good in terms of faculty, packaage , and syllabus. The syllabus there is concise. Emphasis on practical knowlegde is there. So go for it if you desire.
