Most of the students are studying second PG courses like MCA and MBA after completing MA and M Sc. More than 10,000 students are going for a second PG every year, which gives a total amount of Rs 8 to 10 crore on fee reimbursement.

The state government has cancelled them from benefitting tuition fee reimbursement from the year 2011.

The minority welfare department took this decision by taking the perspective of the increasing financial burden and taking cue from the government's decision to stop fee reimbursement to students of backward castes (BCs) for their second PG course.
