Congratulations for scoring 80% in your CBSE Boards and for any government funding technical institute(gfti) you will have to score minimum 75% in Boards means for getting any NITs and even IITs you will have to score 75% in Boards. If you are looking for DTU and NSIT, These both are one of the best colleges for Engineering, then you need just  65% in Boards. And You had scored now 80% which are very good marks for NSIT and DTU. One also needs to score 10000-11000 Rank in JEE Mains means an approximation of 250 Marks.

If you want admission in other colleges on the basis of JEE Mains Marks you can choose JEE MAIN PREDICTOR as being provided by Careers 360 only at a very nominal price. You will be provided with all the details of the colleges with the best branch. You can use that it is really very good and you can check and explore various colleges and choose the best college.

Sir, I have read on some websites if improvement must be in all subject otherwise top 20 percentile will be considered for admission in nits (which is almost 87%) As I missed my one improvement exam I am confused about which creteria is required 75%  or top 20 percentileThis year 27k rank in jee main and I wanna drop another year to achieve my goal

Yes, You have scored total of 80%. They will see those marks only and 20 percentile is not in CBSE Board. You might have read about BITS PILANI or any other college but if you want admission then your score must be a minimum of 75% and 70% for SC, ST. As you said your score was 59% in PCM, So You will have to improve this marks as many colleges just take students by seeing there PCM Marks like in BITS Pilani they want 80% total marks in PCM so that 59% would create difficulty in future. So, If you are dropping this year you will study for PCM only and next year also apply for boards papers so that your marks should be increased there too.
