Hello Akash,

http://www.nitc.ac.in/

National Institute of Technology Calicut, formerly Regional Engineering College Calicut, is an autonomous, federally funded technical university and an institute of national importance governed by the NIT Act passed by the Parliament of India. It has a 300-acre campus, and the infrastructure is world class. The placement statistics are quite fair, and the average placement was around 7 lpa.It was established in 1950s and has around 190 well qualified faculty. The seats for respective branches are around 140, and the fees of the college is around ₹5.5 lakh. There are around 5000 students here. Visit the below link for more information:

Now coming to your question:

As you mentioned, you got 165 marks, therefore your predicted rank will be around 13000 (for general),

you may predict your rank using the below tool:

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

Now, from the previous year records,

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-nit-calicut

for general category students can get any branch at NIT Calicut for this rank, except CSE. Therefore, you should get ME, CE, Biotechnology, Production engineering, ECE and Physics, easily. The cut off for Cse is around 8k, therefore it might be a difficult chance. But you should go till last counselling in case you want CSE, as sometimes, certain seats are left by students, because of doubts. In case you belong to any other category, you can get any branch including CSE, easily at the respective NIT.

But the result is completely based on previous data, from rank predictor to this year cut-off prediction. Therefore I would suggest you prepare for Advance, and have 2-3 more options.

Hope this Helps

Regards
