To get a seat in a good branch here in Thapar University for a student (outside punjab),it is mandatory to score about 80-90 percentile in jee mains.

I am giving you the cutoff ranks(Outside Punjab) published by Thapar University:

• Computer Science-32471
• Civil-146795
• Chemical-213608
• ECE-57903
• Electrical-112167
• Mechanical-78847

The above are the closing ranks for these branches in the last counselling round.

If you want Computer Science here ,then you must have a rank below 40k.

For mechanical,a rank below 60k can get a seat in mechanical branch.

So,i think if you will wait till the end,you can get mechanical,but every year the cutoffs vary.

Hi there as per your jee mains percentile and this year jee mains cut off 2019 of thapar university for mechanical branch is 90.56 percentile in 3 round of the counselling so there is the probability of you to get this college .
