Hi

With 72 percentile

  • your rank will be around 286440 - 322000   as per our rank predictor at

Your obc rank will be around 75000- 1,00,000

With this rank your chances for NIT Calicut even under home state quota being from Kerala is extremely low

For example,

in the 6th round of josaa counselling 2020 , 13492 obc rank was the closing obc rank for OBC category for home state in nit calicut and it was for Materials Science and Engineering

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

So, I would suggest you focus on your preparation for remaining sessions of jee main and target at least around 98 percentile and to improve your score   ,  go through chapters , practise questions and then revise them, go through mock test paper sample papers and previous year question papers as it will let you know your preparation level and and weak areas so that you can work on them and perform well in your examination. To help you in your application you can use our jee main knockout for which link is provided below

Hello,

According to percentile your rank would fall somewhere between 286440-322000.  Unfortunately, you cannot take admission in NIT Calicut, and not only about NIT Calicut, with this rank it seems very difficult for you to take admission in any of the NITs. I strongly suggest you to go for GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutions) Assam University or Ghani Khan Institute of Engineering and Technology, West Bengal. Maybe you get admission there.

Or you can see the official Closing ranks and Opening ranks of all the GFTIs by visiting the official website of JOSAA, kindly go through this link

Good Luck.
