Rules and regulations - The rules and regulations are pretty much the same for both Vellore and Chennai campus.

Size of campus - Obviously, the Vellore campus is much larger in size.

Extra-curricular activities - There is always something or the other going on inside the Vellore campus, for sure.

Quality of teachers - The teachers on the Chennai campus are all quite good and have a mix of both teaching, research as well as industry experience.

If you are asking about placements then there is no difference because placements take place together at VIT, Vellore.

Coming to the culture. Chennai campus is a little conservative natured. You can be fined for public display of affection. In-timings are also very strict. Vellore has comparatively much more freedom since they have foreign students also.

Lastly, if you want to feel some space then you should come to chennai becauseI found Vellore campus too crowded!

It depends on the context in which you are asking. If it is placements, then there is no difference between the two as there are no separate placements. All students are said to be a part of the VIT University.

Also there is not much difference in the quality of faculty as well. But that being said, VIT Chennai is a newly established campus. It is small in size and the cultural and technical events are not renowned throughout India where as VIT Vellore has one of the best cultural fests in the country. VIT Vellore guarantees a complete experience to the students.
