Hello aspirant!!
Yes dtu provides fee waiver from category wise depending on the norms of government and if your family income less than 5 lakh then u will get concession in fees.
For general category there is also scholarship criteria depending on their academics .

And Mechanical branch is quite good in dtu and they have good academic facilities as well as competitive environment.Since it is in the capital and there are large number of coaching institutes if you are interested in gate,IES,ias ,etc.which is also good.
