Union Public Service Comission(UPSC) conducts the exam for NDA twice a year.Once in the month of April (21st April) and the other in September (17th September) this year.The exam will be conducted to take admissions in the Army, Navy and Airforce wing of the Indian Army commencing from January 2,2020.

Around 4,50,000 candidates sit for the exam every year out of which only 6300 were called for the interview round and out of which only 320 are selected for the academy every semester. 70 for Airforce , 42 for Navy and 208 for Army .

Minimum age for apllying is 16.5 yrs and maximum age is 19.5 yrs.
