Panjab University conducts the Panjab University Undergraduate Common Entrance Test (PUCET) 2019 in an offline mode for admission to BSc. (Hons.) and B.Pharma programmes at the university and 188 participating colleges. The university had released a common application form of PUCET 2019 for both the undergraduate programmes on April 5, 2019. Candidates apeearing in PUCET 2019 can opt for subject combinations of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM), Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) and Mathematics.  Candidates are allotted seats based on PUCET 2019 result, their rank in the merit list and their preferences.

Admussion in BA programme is purely based on merit list. The university offers 30+ specialization in BA. The candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board with a minimun aggregate of 60%
