Pondicherry University Reviews on Infrastructure, Campus, Placement, Facilities & Faculty

Yes, Psychology department comparatively good there. But i guess there should be advanced lab structure and apparatus for assessments and practicals. Yes they have good campus wifi, which is something positive frome there. Pondicherry University have common and separate libraries which have good collections of books and resources. They also have separate sports centres basketball, badminton, cricket etc. I guess they are all well maintained.

Im studying Msc Applied Psychology, i love psychology and something that have my high interest and and i felt im capable. Quality of teaching is actually better, some professors are high educated here. Curriculum should be updated i guess . Over-all syllabus is manageable for students here.

Our department doesn't have placement, our area i slike we only have to find accordingly to our interest and also by entrance exams. Some departments like MBA, have good placements here. Im not sure of how many students got placements. They used to conduct some aptitude test for these placements .

As it is central university i guess this money is worth and good. Around 23,000rs is my sem fee. At that cost of money i felt this is worth and good here.

Campus life is best because this campus is 24 hours free, thete is no curfew or restriction here. Also we have good night life here . Students can engage in various activities like sports, studying in library or any other activities. Good here, location is center to pondicherry where good food, and good places are near.

Overall pondicherry University is good.

The university has a 24/7 library and reading room with AC. The classrooms are not that well equipped with projectors. There are bright classrooms and free wifi connection. The living spaces are timely cleaned. But the food quality is poor.

The classes are taken on time and completes the syllabus accordingly. The teachers are highly qualified in their own fields. The curriculum is based on NET syllabus. There are research and cultural forums organised for the students .

The placements for literature students are very poor. There are little to no placement. The package is also too low for a masters student. The students placed are less than ten in each departments. The salary package are 2.5 lack per annum.

The fee is very low for accommodation and tution since it is a central university. The facilities are worth for the money. It is almost 20 k for tuition and 26 k for mess fee per year. It is affordable and various scholarships are also available.

Th campus life is good. The university has no curfew hence students can access anywhere in the campus at anytime. There are lots of space for physical activities and greenery around the campus. Also, lots of canteens that works full time is inside the campus. It is safe and is in a tourist location.

Pondicherry University is known for its largeand scenic campus spread campus spread over hundreads of acres. The university offers hostels, a central library, wifi facilities, sport complexes, and well-equipped academic building. the greenery and peaceful environment are major advantages. However, some students have reported that hostel maintenance and certain facilities could be improved.

The MA programs at pondicherry university are generally well-regarded, with experienced faculty and a curriculum that balances theory and research. Students benefit from seminars, workshops and interdisciplinary learning opportunities. On the downside, the quality of teaching and academic rigor can vary across departments, and administrative processes are sometimes perceived as slow.

Placement opportunities for MA students are moderate and depend significantly on the specialisation. While department like media economics, and international relations may offer better prospects, many humanities students often pursue research, teaching, competitive exams. Students seeking corporate roles may need to develop additional skills and gain relevant experience independently.

As a central university, Pondicherry University offers quality education at an affordable fee, making it an exellent value-for-money option. Students receive access to good academic resources and a recognised degree without high costs associated with private universities. However, limited placement support in some MA disciplines can affect the perceived return on investment.
