The syllabus for entrance exam for admission to B.A mass communication and journalism at GNDU is -

  • General English – Comprehension/ Essay/ Letter
  • Current Affairs
  • Basics Terms of Social Media/ Media Aptitude
  • General English


The entance exam for B.A social science hons. Will be of 100 marks containing 4 sections.which are as follow -

SECTION-A: 10 Glossary of concepts, each carrying 02marks

1. National Human Rights Commission

2. Cybercrime

3. Pandemic

4. Income inequality

5. Zamindari System

6. Directive Principles of State Policy

7. Democracy

8. Metabolism

9. Gender-Budgeting

10. Types of marriage

SECTION-B: 08 questions of short answers (150-200 words) on General Awareness, each carrying 05 marks

1. Solid Waste Management

2. Disaster

3. Climate Change

4. Globalisation

5. World War-II

6. Demographic Dividend

7. Farmer Suicides

8. Make in India

9. COVID-19

10. Good Governance

SECTION-C: Application or Letter writing in English of 15 marks (1x15=15 marks).


SECTION-D: Essay writing (1000 words) in English on any important topic of 25 marks (1x25=25 mark)
