As it is not private infra is not that good but it is still maintained comparing with other state level university. Its library is good with lacks of books but it stays full and its hard to get seat. Its lacks good wifi access in department. Also hostels are very old so they are in bad condition
I am a CS undergrad and teachers are decent for 1st year I have not experienced CS department teachers but physics, math teachers are good. For other state students it maybe a little issue that some teachers teach in punjabi but this is manageable. Also in CS only student intake is high there are 120 students in a section if you sit behind then you can't hear or see the board. College is semi-govt. so curriculum is good and it has many holidays which gives time for side hustle.
As a first year I can't tell much about placements but they are still decent. It is competitious but I you have worked hard you will end up getting job from campus placements only you can't expect good jobs but its still better than tier 3 private colleges with very high intake. But no good company visits campus that placements are rare and all off campus
Its great value for money because hostel is cheap if you don't want your college in your hometown and also want total less expense it can be decent option for you. Its better than other Tier 3 government colleges
I am not interested much in campus fests but students and societies try to do organise events. If you want a good college life with concerts and all you must consider private colleges. Rest campus is very big and its okay
Outsiders you lack punjani knowledge may feel hard to communicate but people here are decent and you will not feel alienated but still it can be a con.
The college infrastructure is average and barely meets basic needs. Washrooms are the worst thing about this university, Classrooms and labs are usable but need upgrades. Library is good, Wi-Fi is unable feels like there is no wifi at all though, and hostels are clean but need better maintenance.
I am perusing btech computer science . Teaching quality is average. Some teachers explain well some don't even take lectures, but classes are mostly theory-based. The syllabus is okay but needs more practical and industry-related topics.
Placement opportunities are quite poor. Very few companies visit the campus and only a small number of students get placed. almost all students depend on off-campus jobs. College support for placements really needs improvements.
The course fee is moderate compared to other universities. The facilities and teaching are average for the fee paid or even a bit on lesser side only. Some improvement in washrooms, labs, placements, and practical training would make it better value for money.
Overall, the college offers an below average experience. Campus life is normal a bit good and the environment is safe, but academics, infrastructure, and placements need improvement. With better practical training and placement support, the college can improve.
The college infrastructure is average and meets basic needs. Classrooms and labs are usable but need upgrades. Library is good, Wi-Fi is slow and doesn't work most of times, and hostels are somewhat manageable but any upgrade would be appreciable, other than that, its beautiful, with a lot of greenery (tress and gardens).
I am studying computational statistics and data analytics, teaching quality is average. Some teachers explain well, but classes are mostly theory-based. The syllabus is okay but needs more practical and industry-related topics.
Placement opportunities are poor. Very few companies visit the campus and only a small number of students get placed. Most students depend on off-campus jobs. College support for placements needs improvement.
The course fee is reasonable compared to other universities, it costs around 60k per year for me, the facilities and teaching are average for the fee paid. Some improvement in labs, placements, and practical training would make it better value for money.
Campus life is very good and enjoyable. The campus is large, green, and safe. Students are friendly and many cultural, sports, and academic events are held regularly, making campus life active and lively, as it has multiple functions occasionally.
Overall, the college offers an average experience. Campus life is good and the environment is safe, but academics, infrastructure, and placements need improvement. With better practical training and placement support, the college can improve a lot, where is has good environment for enjoyment and functions , there it needs to improve in the academics.
Our department infrastructure is not too good as firstly we don't have dep of our own it is in sharing secondly labs ceiling has cracks... We don't have our own department classes we have to move from one dep to another
My subject is practical and teachers are good to study.. They are fully skilled and have full knowledge.. They make us practice and make our mind set open towards skill and fashion.... well experience
actually my internship is after next sem But my seniors say it is good.... They were sent at different places and gained alot of knowledge.... They learned and have new experience also enjoyed.........
Actually it is skill subject so its expensive a bit but worthy
It is safe
The infrastructure of the university is quite good. The classrooms are decent for students and also have projectors. The main library of the university is well equipped with computers, laptops and a large range of books from academics to generic. It also has a system through which one can find the location of any book at each floor by its name. The labs are also well equipped according to need and subjects in the departments. The hostels are also quite decent and have all the necessities inside them. The sports facilities such as gymnasium are also fully equipped. The only downgrade is the lack of cleanliness and hygiene in the washrooms of the departments in university.
I have taken up MBA (Integrated) which is a 5 year course of 3 years BBA and 2 Years MBA in chosen specialisation. I chose this course due to my keen interest in business industry. The teaching quality is really good at the department. The curriculum is completely relevant to the subjects and comprehensive. Each semester has leveled subjects for students to understand each topic according to the need and comprehension ability. Every semester new topics and subjects are introduced to the curriculum which give students a confidence in their learning and better understanding of business aspects. The curriculum really covers all the developments as well as previous theories about business to use in practical life. It gives deep insights and knowledge for future help.
The placement at the university is managed by the centre placement cell of university. It ensures that the relevant companies comes for hiring in all departments. One is eligible for placements from 7th semester/4th year. The university also has a mandatory internship summer program for students as a part of the curriculum. It helps them to get a potential opportunity for pre placement offers. The highest package of my department is around ₹8 Lakhs and the average package goes upto ₹4 lakhs with 30-40% of the students securing the placement offers from the campus walk in drives. The university hosts many workshops for students to excel their interviews by teaching skills like resume writing, interview ethics, mock interviews etc.
The MBA(Integrated) course has a per semester fees of around ₹86000 at the time of admission and from 2nd semester it comes down to around ₹60000. It substantially decreases after initial semesters. I feel I am getting my money's worth because the curriculum is such as it is gonna be beneficial in future career opportunities. The teachers are really approachable and friendly despite a large student ratio. It is also affordable as compared to other universities offering same courses or curriculums.
The campus life is really good. One gets a lot of exposure, hands on experience in event management in some cases, opportunities to get insights from industry leaders and a lots of fun events and activities in the campus. The university hosts two main fests in April and October which are attended by and participated in by a large number of students from colleges around the whole city. Other than that, the students hosts Diwali fests, fun fests which also promotes their coursework. The teachers and staff are really helpful in time of needs. The whole university is secured by guards appointed by the government. Emergencies are also handled efficiently and effectively if there are any. The campus life at university is pretty good.
The exams are moderately thought at university and are checked by strict marking. Students also shall maintain a 75% of attendance to secure their roll numbers and Hall tickets. There are two sets of exams held every semester, i.e, Mid semester and End Semester and their aggregate is for the CGPA for each semester.
The hostel has both mess and a canteen which provides a decent quality of food and snacks. The college has top facilities like Wi-Fi, hostel, classrooms, libraries for the students of different years and labs.
Every faculty is well-qualified in their respective fields, and they are very friendly with children that we can easily clear all our doubts. The course curriculum is relevant because by opting for this course, you will be prepared for private industry as well as some private institutions.
Placements of the college are not that good, it is pretty average. The placements of other colleges are pretty good compared to our college. Very few people are only able to get a good placement from our college who have good skills and a CGPA as well.
The college is sorrounded with greenary Classrooms are average level generally few classes need to be maintained. Labs are there four different different blocks. Library is there that contain value Creative books
Honestly there is no much about Academy here but still if you are an average student then you have to work so much hard but if you are a person who is going to learn each and everything from classes and do work hard then this university is valuable for you
According to me the placements are not that much good. Many product based on service based companies come here and higher students at an average package of 4 5 lpa and the average package goes up to 25 lpa
Students can get a decentry hair as the fees are not that much but still if someone who is looking to value his career than they need to go to a better place but if they want valuable degree then this is the best place
Campus life where is from person to person if a person who is an into what then he will not be enjoyable in the campus but if you are an extrovert who is looking to make friends then this university is best fit for you college first happen regularly to
Campus large green and well structured with modern academic logs and a central library. Computer labs seminar holes and hostel facilities are decent though some branches report limited sports facilities. Clean classrooms and a peaceful environment make it ideal for academic focus
Difficulty is experienced and subject knowledge is true. The Becomes Labour's covers core commerce areas and exams are of moderate difficulty. Though some practical exposure like internship or field visits could be improved overall it is a solid 4 degree level learning but if you need to have a hard very nice future then you have to get to your own
Placement support exists but it is a mixed bag. Students report a placement rate between 20 to 75% with packages around one to two lakhs per annum at entry level rolls. Some top placements reached about 5 lpa recruiters included Axis Bank SBI and more. Bcom students don't get as strong placement pipelines as Btech batches
It offers a recognized government backed degree at a genuine fees student described the education as a good value with quality infrastructure and reduce the tuition fees via scholarship also so students can get a good roa but by looking at the placements there is not that much good roi
Campus life is vibrant. Students participate in cultural fest sports and clubs. GNDU ranks highly for its greenery and environment. This student crown is friendly and events are well received
The college is spread with greenary and with modern buildings. Classrooms are modern but still a few are outdated. Libraries are well equipped with good books and newest industry level patterns. Eatables are hygienic and clean.
I am studying BPARMA here and it is quite a good course to study in this university, as it offers wide range of industry level subjects and topics and also gives hands on practice but still some teachers are not well qualified and just teach for the sake for money
Placements are average, you need to get upto your best to take a high level placement here and the average packages offered are about 5-6 lpa. You have to study and get better by learning in the classes regularly as this college is not a spoon fed
There is a good Return on Investment in this college as looking on the average packages too and the fees is affordable if you need a good study material
A great campus life as chill vibes all around the campus. You need to find your group here and just enjoy the college life as these days will not come back again. This university is safe with all around college fests and competitions happening after a span of time
The campus is green, big grounds and modern blocks. The computer labs for BCA and b.tech courses are decent - you'll get access to systems and basic equipment for coding and projects. Classrooms are simple but fine for theory classes. labs have outdated systems and not all software is always updated.
Academically this university gives a solid base in programming, webdev and theory subjects. The syllabus is decent and covers important stuff.C++ and java are taught properly. Teachers are knowledgable but some just focus on slides and notes. If you want learning you have to go beyond the classroom- youtube, coding platforms and side projects help a lot.
Placements are not great. Unlike MCA or engineering students, many students can't get many top companies on campus. You might get internship opportunities or small startups, but core IT companies mostly prefer btech, MCA. Some students crack off campus internships if they have build good skills.
The fees is affordable compared to private colleges and the education is decent. So if you are someone who want a budget friendly college without compromising too much on academics. This is a smart choice, but yes -- placements are not that good, you have to grind on your own .
It is full of fun if you make the most of it, There are fest and cultural sports tournaments happening every semester. The crowd is chill and mostly from punjab, If you join clubs, just have a good friends and enjoy your time here.
