The NIT Silchar admission to the B.Tech course is made through JoSAA on the basis of the score in JEE Main. For admission to the M.Tech course, candidates have to qualify GATE and participate in CCMT counselling. The NIT Silchar admission to the M.B.A programme is given based on the score in the entrance exam, followed by GD and PI. For the M.Sc. programme, admission is made through CCMN counselling based on the JAM score. NIT Silchar admission to Ph.D courses is given based on the score in written test and/or interview and/or performance in the qualifying examination evaluated by the admission committee.
