    NIT Silchar Admission Process

    National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar admissions to all undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses are made based on qualifying examination, a valid score in the entrance test followed by a counselling session. NIT Silchar offers admission to five academic programmes – B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc, M.B.A and Ph.D in various disciplines. The UG, PG and Ph.D courses are mainly offered in engineering branches, management disciplines, basic sciences and humanities field. 

    The NIT Silchar admission to the B.Tech course is made through JoSAA on the basis of the score in JEE Main. For admission to the M.Tech course, candidates have to qualify GATE and participate in CCMT counselling. The NIT Silchar admission to the M.B.A programme is given based on the score in the entrance exam, followed by GD and PI. For the M.Sc. programme, admission is made through CCMN counselling based on the JAM score. Curriculum is structured in a way which prepare the students according to the idustry need which in turns help the students to grab good jobs after graduation. There is regular theory classes, doubt sessions and practical classes as well.Research facility is also very good. The labs are well equiped with all the modern machines. And Asia's largest digital library is here in this college.

    Yes, there is a course on MTech Artificial Intelligence in NIT Silchar.

    Eligibility Criteria -

    • Candidate must have earned a Bachelor's degree in the relevant field from a recognised university or institute with a minimum of 60% for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC or at least 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) and 55% for SC/ST/PwD candidates or 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale).
    • Students who will be graduating this year may also apply on a provisional basis.

    Yeah I am giving a brief overview for ECE degree in those all nits. National institute of technology are one of the best Government engineering colleges in all over India for you can get quality education and good placement in lower College fees.

    1. NIT Silchar- the salary package offered is approx 6.5 lakh and the placement rate is overall good.
    2. NIT Jalandhar- start from 3lakhs and can go up to 22lakhs.
    3. NIT Jamshedpur the median salary packages approx 7.5 lakhs.
    4. NIT Bhopal the medium salary package starts from 8 lakhs but the infrastructure is not to good according to the students.
    5. Nit Durgapur- Median salary package is 7.5 lakhs and also the infrastructure is quite good.
