Ceramic Technology deals with the production, design and use of ceramic materials. Candidates who have completed this course can find numerous job opportunities in private and public sector.


Graduates in B.Tech ceramic technology can work as ceramic technologists in any private firm. Ceramic technologists develop new products by researching on various chemical reactions and replace the existing products with newly developed better products. Another job opportunity available for these graduates is ceramic designer in any ceramic company. Ceramic designer is responsible for designing various ceramic products. These graduates can also work as a Marketing executive or Sales executive in any ceramic company if they possess better communication skills. B.Tech graduates in ceramic technology can thus find a promising career in private sector.

There are several job opportunities available in the public sector for the B.Tech graduates in Ceramic Technology. They can work in various research organizations under Government of India. Some of those research organizations are given below

  • Indian Space Research Organization
  • Defense Metallurgical Research Laboratory
  • Bhabha Atomic Research Centre
  • Institute for Plasma Research

They can work as a lecturer in any government colleges having ceramic technology courses. They can also attend all the government exams conducted for the graduates.
