Hello Aspirant,

JEE Mains is conducted by the National Testing Agency(NTA) twice an year(from 2019), to provide admissions into various undergraduate courses in various prestigious colleges like NITs,IIITs etc..One session was already held in January and the next coming session will be held in April.Since there is very less time and also boards are approaching, it is better you prepare smarter.

For any competitive exam, the whole syllabus is to be divided into 4 parts according to their weightage and level of difficulty,

  • High Weightage, Less Effort(easy): These are the most important group ofchapters. You must complete these chapters thoroughly.Since they require less effort, try to excel in these topics to score more.
  • High weightage, High Effort(hard): These are the second most important group of chapters. You will probably have to spend a lot of time on these chapters.
  • Low weightage, Less Effort(easy):These are the chapters you can do only when you have time left after completing the first two.
  • High weightage, High Effort (hard): Forget these chapters! You dont need to worry about them. Focus on the above three types of chapters instead.
Below are the important topics of physics:

  • High weightage, low effort:Heat & thermodynamics, Ray optics,Electromagnetic waves, semiconductors, Error & instrument analysis, Gravitation, Wave optics, Photo electric effect, Oscillations.
  • High weightage, high effort: Electromagnetic induction & alternating current,Rotation, Kinematics,Electrostatics,Current Electricity & capacitors,Properties of matter, Magnetic effects of current & Magnetism, Bohr's Atomic Model, Waves & Sound.
  • Low weightage, low effort: Heat transfer, Fluids, Nuclear physics & X-Rays, work, energy & power, Units & Measurements, Dual nature of matter & radiation.
  • Low weightage, high effort: Circular motion, centre of mass, communication systems, collisions, Laws of motion.
Topics of Chemistry:

  • High weightage, low effort: Atomic structure, Gaseous and liquid state, Electrochemistry,  Chemical Kinetics, Nuclear& Surface chemistry, chemical bonding, d-block elements, Co-ordination compounds, Alkyl halides,  aromatic compounds.
  • High weightage, high effort: Thermodynamics, p- block elements, General organic chemistry, Isomerism, Aldehydes & ketones, Carboxylic acids & derivatives.
  • Low weightage, low efforts:Chemical Equilibrium, Solutions, Metallurgy,Qualitative analysis, Hydrocarbons.
  • Low weightage, high efforts:Mole concept,Ionic equilibrium, Solid state,s-block elements, periodic classification, classification& nomenclature, Alcohol & ether, Nitrogen & its compounds, Polymers.
Below are the topics in Maths:

  • High weightage, low efforts: 3 dimensional geometry, vectors, Determinants & matrices, sequence & series, straight lines, circles,Probability distribution.
  • High weightage, high efforts:Definite integral, area under the curve, limits, continuity, differentiability, functions, applications of derivatives, complex numbers,Quadratic equations, binomial theorem.
  • Low weightage, low efforts:Diffential equation, differentiation, trigonometry, statistics, mathematical logic, set & relation, height & distance.
  • Low weightage, high efforts:functions, properties of triangle, permutation & combination, Indefinite integral.
Hope you got the information required.

    • All the best!!

Hello Pradeep, As far i know that you have got very less time for the preparation of jee mains as you have given the mains exam in January so you often get to know about the pattern of your mains exam. Now i suggest you to go for test series and revision of the material as far as you studied which is the shortest way to get qualified in the mains exam, i am sharing you a link which is really useful for the aspirant like you https://engineering.careers360.com/exams/jee-main here you can find all the things related to jee mains that are iseful to you like test series , notes, video lectures which you will find very much useful to you.

Hope you find it good for you.

Best of luck!!!!

Hello,

As there is less time you should work smart. Prepare a schedule as per the known weightages and work evenly for the 3 subjects. Prepare short notes for chemistry from ncert. Also prepare a formulas list for maths and physics. Time management is also an important thing,so work on the practice papers within the given time. Maintain a error notes where you should note all your errors so that it will be useful for revision

Good luck!

Hello Aspirant

.

You should prepare the subjects like mathematics physics and chemistry. For this jEE mains exam you should prepare a schedule or plan to study

.

Firstly go through with ncerts and then go for prescribed books.

  • for physics H C Verma
  • For chemistry O P Tandon
  • For mathematics R D sharma, ARIHANT
Don't refer for 1 topic ten books read one / two books ten times this gains more knowledge in that topic.

.

  • After every topic solve the basic problems and then go for critical questions.
  • Go for daily mock tests series because the time was less to study.keep focus on more weightage topics to score well.
  • Practice previous years question papers to analyse the question paper and time management.
If you have any questions further let me know.

    • Thank you!!!
