IGNOU MBA is one of the top distance education MBA courses in India. When we think about distance education, IGNOU is the first name that clicks to our mind. Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) was established back in 1985 and was named after former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. IGNOU is the largest university in the World with more than 4 million students. The university was started with the aim to make higher education accessible to disadvantaged segments of society. So, if you want to do an MBA and working somewhere and can't afford the fee or time for the same then IGNOU distance MBA is for you. However, if you planning to do an MBA and still a fresher or a student in the final year then I don't think it would be a great choice.

Eligibility Criteria: Any graduate (including Chartered Accountancy/ Cost Accountancy/ Company Secretaryship) with 50% marks for general category/ 45% for reserved category as per government of India rules. Students with professional degree including CA/ ICWAI /Medicine /Engineering /Law /ICAI with 50% marks are eligible for admission. Clearance of OPENMAT entrance test conducted by IGNOU. There is no age bar.

The admission is strictly on the basis of marks obtains in OPENMAT. The duration of the course will be of 2.5 years which can be extended to eight years in some cases. As per the need and requirement of the student. The fees to pursue MBA course is INR 31,500 per annum. The MBA course consists of 21 courses in total. These courses combine PGDIM, specialization courses, compulsory courses and project courses. It is very important that students should only opt for the courses which are available during that particular year. The courses within each keep changing every year and it may lead to complications at a later stage.
