Yes! Why not?

Agricuture Engineering is so much in trend now a days and has many career opportunities. 

It is that branch of engineering that deals with applied engineering science disciplines and technology practices to the efficient production and processing of food, feed, fiber and fuels.

Some of the higher study options for the B.Tech graduates in agriculture are: M.Tech in Agricultural Engg, M.Tech in Farm Machinery and Power Engg, M.Tech in Renewable Energy, M.Tech in Crop Production, M.Sc in Rural Technology, PhD in Agri-Informatics, PhD in Rural Technology.

You may have the following job options after pursuing agricultural engineering-

Yes,it has a very good scope.In a country like India where 70% population is dependent on agriculture,it is sure that you will have a bright future.You will learn about technically working of machines used in agriculture.The graduates are placed in companies associated with machine production for agriculture.Also you can join dairy,bank etc.Also the competition is not very much after graduation as their are a few colleges in India offering this course.

There are a no. Of agriculture colleges in India and some of them are very good.They have different admission procedure and some of them use ICAR ranks.

Agriculture is the science of arts and occupation of cultivating the soil, producing crops and rearing of animals to provide food, wool and other products.Agricultural Engineering relates to the science and technology of producing food grains.

SCOPE OF AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING
1-Jobs in tractor-manufactures, irrigation companies, fertiliser and seed companies, and dairy firms.
2-State agriculture departments recruit Agriculture Engineers at district and sub-district levels for processing, farm mechanisation etc.
