Kashmir University comes under the CUET exam list, so you'll have to cover the syllabus for CUET PG. Books for preparations-

The Beginning Theory by Peter Barry

A Glossary of Literary Terms by MH Abrahams

History of English Literature by E Albert

History of English Literature by William J Long

These are some of the topic-specific books. Apart from these, you can take books that cover the CUET PG English syllabus by Pearson, R. Gupta. I'd prefer these books because I've read them and they are really good.
