Now coming to your question there is no doubt regarding the college that BITS pilani is one of the finest colleges in the country and in my opinion is way far better than SPIT. Now coming to the branch it really matters on you whether you have interest in mechanical or computer science.But if you'd be taking my personal opinion i would choose BITS pilani mechanical branch.

BITS Pilani for mechanical is a better option

The placements in the mechanical department were better this year. The average salary package was 6.8 LPA, and more than 87% of the students were placed on campus. The core package has been increasing since past few years. The highest placement offered this year was more than 16 LPA, and the lowest was around 4 LPA. Many of the companies like Bajaj and Mercedes which was present for the placement is a huge thing.

The campus has Wi-Fi as well as LAN facilities and provides 1.5gb of data daily. The hostel offers all the basic amenities and accommodation is one student per hostel room. They have laundry services and a grocery store too. They also have two mess and many other eateries in the campus. Overall, infrastructure is quite decent.

Mosto of the teachers are very good at their subject and are always ready to  are help. Also, you can always approach your seniors with any kind of doubts. All classrooms and library are air-conditioned.
