College Infrastructure
College has all necessary equipment and infrastructure and is renewed regularly, free WiFi is available upon registration, computer labs are new and updated, students take responsibility and maintain the labs, and regular feedback is taken. Hygiene is very good and living spaces are well maintained.
Academics
2nd year student BTechCS, quality of teaching is average, standard books and resources are used, few courses have small small variations like poster making and projects. Maximum learning happens due to peer group and not cause of faculty. Faculty is helping and ready to help anytime, but not really helpful when approached with doubts(generally speaking). But on the flip side there are few fantastic faculty too
Placements
Quality of placements have been really good for the past years, with quite high number of students placed. I have to check site for highest package offered, and average salary offered, but they are also quite good in comparison to other colleges in Maharashtra, at par with COEP and VJTI
Value-for-money
Cost : Little above 1lakh per year. I am not happy with the overall growth I am getting out of the institute. The institute is still growing and keeps on trying new ways to improve its quality and performance, due to autonomy. But, the overall atmosphere is too academically oriented and there's a severe misdirected focus. From full fledged development which it promises to do, to academic development, which too is not well delivered as a whole.
Campus Life
Best features is a strong peer group, and resources that it provides, and also the campus itself . It has wide range of clubs, but not too focus is given to them as the institute doesn't promote overall development. It is too academically oriented and has less flexibility.

College Infrastructure
SPIT as such doesn't have a good infrastructure ! Also deal with the fact even canteen was removed last year from the college. I suppose all the major maintenance goes to campus ! Overall , I would say college infrastructure is not that bright or high quality level or very attractive, and nowhere near to that of colleges under SVKM or even other engineering colleges like Thakur and others.
Academics
One thing SPIT is proud about is it's overall academics and focus on student's talent + his/her extra skills. SPIT organizes many social and educational and extra courses/programs to make students involve and explore more things along with studies. SPIT also required equipment and excellent mentors/professors who encourage them in many projects or involve them in real world application situation with their knowledge.
Placements
Just last year I guess we got placement for 40 lac as well ! In-campus placements are very good as you would except. Also, SPIT has it's own incubation center : SPTBI ; so this benefits a lot for students to have internships over there. Lastly, many students are even encouraged for further studies and to start their own business.

Campus here is awesome and u will find an excellent crowd. The only problem is hostel but one can easily avail PGs. If u won't be able to get into NITs or VITs then it is the best college for engineering one would choose. Placements in Comps and IT department are excellent, extc placement are fair enough

In 2017 this College received autonomy status from Mumbai University for 5 years..The college faculty is capable enough to handle autonomy. Infrastructure is really good. Students here are enthusiastic but unfortunately not dedicated towards research and development, even though there is a good RND platform. College life is great!! Good cultural fests and mediocre techfests. Placements records are excellent for Computer Engineering and good for other branches. Companies like Siemens, etc even comduct campus interviews for internships.

Being in this college is one of the best things that has happened to me. The quality of students here is amazing , everyone is engrossed in some or the other activity every time . The campus of our college is too vast and beautiful. For students planning to pursue MBA or MS after Engineering, our college is one of the best college you can get into. The quality of education is not top notch but it isn't the worst too, besides the students here are academically so strong that many a time you don't even feel the need of teachers. Our placements ranks second in all over the Mumbai after Vjti. We have an incubation section for students planning for startups. Our incubation center is funded Rs. 2 Crores by the Government and is the only one of it's type in the whole Mumbai University. Beside our college only need IIT Bombay has such an incubation center. So needless to say but our college is the best for students planning for startups. Our college gained autonomy from the coming semester so things are going to definitely improve. In a nutshell , our college is one of the best colleges you can get into.

The best thing about this college is that soon we'll be getting autonomy and well enter the league of colleges such as VJTI and IIT-B. Futhermore I love the fact that we have such a huge campus with all the amenities one can think of. There is even a lake in our campus! Curricular activities are top notch too.

The college has excellent infrastructure and the cherry on the cake is that we will be getting Autonomy soon. The professors are very helpful and we are provided with many opportunities for internships as well as research work projects. Our alumni interact with us too through the alumni network which was recently setup.

The college promotes an Educational Environment that combines academic study with the excitement of intellectual curiosity for engineers of tomorrow. It has a TBI which recently got a 4 crore grant from the government. Many clubs present in various branches keep the students engaged after college hours, thus ensuring all round development of one's personality. Experienced and helpful faculty combined with many internship opportunities ensures that students turn out to be proficient engineers. Though i couldnt get a bf

There are a lot of extra curricular activities that help in personal development and also improve our skills The teachers are average, few are good But that is never a problem as students are hardworking The seniors are good . They are helpful They guide us and tell us what to study , from where to study how to study etc They even play with us But we never know what will happen later as the college may get autonomy

Since the last three semesters that I have been studying here I have had many valuable experiences which I am sure will help me further in life. The faculty here, although strict, will always attempt their best to support you in your ventures and expose you to the various opportunities available I n the market. You get a good dose of practical knowledge here, though B.E. degree colleges are more theory based. The infrastructure of my college is pretty student friendly and the crowd here is amazing. This was my first hand experience untill now. I hope it remains just as good later too.

Located at a prime location in Andheri(W), Mumbai. It comes under the campus of Bhartiya Vidya Bhavans boasting a 45acre campus. Proximity to Azad Nagar Metro station is a plus point. It is apparently the number 1 college under Mumbai University(MU). Infrastructure: An 8floor building with IT, Comps, Etrx, Extc branches on each floor along with MCA. We also have a Gymkhana room which has Table Tennis and Carrom boards. They are slowly installing AC in every classroom. It is a WiFi enabled college and we have free access to it. It also has a huge centra library with a huge number of books. We don't have a hostel for our college. We have a volleyball court next to our college building and Bhavans Ground which is a football and cricket ground on the campus. Placements: The SP tag works well for our college which attracts the best of companies like Microsoft, Barclays, Morgan Stanley. JPMC, Credit Suisse to name a few. In all 73companies visited our campus for 300 students in all. Highest Package: 16.25LPA Average: 5LPA Lowest: 3.5LPA Faculty: I would rate the faculties 3 out of 5 because this is the case with every college and at the end, it is the self-study which matters a lot. Some are good while some are just average. Overall the college is not that strict in terms of attendance and we have our own Technical and Cultural festivals. We have our own Treks, Industrial Visits, Farewell and a lot of cultural programs time to time.

College well known for? The placements and the big campus it shares with 5 other Institutes SP JAIN being one of them. Faculty & lectures : Good and Bad Faculty/Lectures is subjective. Campus life : Dead, only active during festivals. Canteen : Lot of options. With in-house shacks to canteens and the shops just outside Placements : An-Okay as long as you fit the criteria. Fees : Increases by 10% every year, on the name of development, but the only development you see is new furniture for the faculty! Why should a student join/not join SPIT? Because SPIT is now/to be autonomous institute. 2nd after VJTI. One can expect better results and placements. But you might want to consider other options if campus life and extracurricular activities are what you are looking for.

S.P.I.T provides infrastructural facilities good enough to get the job done. The best thing about this college and the only reason why I would recommend anyone S.P.I.T is top class placements. You will be around people who are smart got nothing to do with any kind of sports or any performing arts, the college itself does not appreciate any of that stuff. College festival is a joke. What should be added by your college to provide better industry exposure? Start with better professors.A better placement in charge. The faculty is mostly pathetic excluding a couple of professors here and there and the Principal. But I might be exaggerating since everyone will tell you their college has the worst professors. But the faculty really could be more graceful with internal markings and other stuff, M.E. aspirants will have to be very good around them for the same reason, else they will suffer. The most faculty is outdated in terms of recent development in their subjects. Mumbai colleges don't care about hostels, it's just a formality for accreditation purpose. Mess and canteens could have been cheaper. If you aren't studious types you might have trouble fitting in at first, but people are really awesome, and that is all that matters at the end of 4 years.

SPIT is a place where you can explore yourself at a great level. They provide quality of education. Great crowd. Students are talented very much. Healthy competition is well. Also, the environment is quite good. The sports section is good, though. Cultural events are also organised at a great level.

I did my Computer Engineering from this college. It is one of the best institutes for Engineering in Mumbai. May it be campus life, exposure, accessibility, placements, faculty, events, competitions this college has it all. The students here are more hardworking than other institutes. Sardar Patel Institute of Technology really helps improve not just the technical knowledge of the students but also their overall personality.

Unless you are searching for Placements / Got rejected by IITs / NITs VJTI, this college is not the best place to be. Positives: 1.Teachers Encourage Research/Projects. 2. Decent Industry Exposure. 3. Above Average Crowd 4. Location Negatives : 1. Barely any assistance for research. 2. College festivals are below average. 3. Teaching standard is below average. Overall: It's OK. If you can deal with annoyance and are smart enough to pull the syllabus yourself. *Recommending college for students who satisfy above criteria.

A world of its own. Owing to the fact that there are only 4 Branches, that is ETRX, Computer engineering, IT, EXTC(The rest branches are a part of SPCE) the fests here aren't that crowded or popular. But keeping that aside, it's a fantastic college in terms of infrastructure and the crowd. You've got the city's best minds in this college, owing to the high cutoffs of this college. Sardar Patel stands 2nd in Mumbai, after VJTI. This college also promotes Startup culture, having a fantastic ECELL and clubs which promote idea pitching and the college was recently funded by the govt to promote tech startups ( refer TOI article). In fact due to supportive staff, there are students of S.P.I.T who have their own startup. One such example is a bicycle sharing system CYKLO.And there are workshops conducted every week, by the enthusiastic committees such as IEEE, ESA, ITSA,CSI,FETS. And the huge campus is a bonus. The location is favorable with a lot of places to hang out nearby.

Sardar Patel institute of technology is a place which will force you to work out of ur comfort zone.A highly reputed institute with loads and loads of extracurriculars. Slightly goes bit down the step when it comes to teaching...but, all in all, its just the place to be!!! And the best part here is the technical and cultural festivals...fabulously fantastic!

SPIT is one of the most reputed colleges in Mumbai. It offers 4 branches of engineering ETRX, EXTC, IT and COMP. With some of the most experienced faculties, the quality of education here is quite good. Affiliated with Mumbai university our college is in the process of becoming autonomous.Various committees like IEEE, IETE organizes many technical and fun events throughout the year.Every year a fresher's party is held to welcome the first year engineering students. UDAAN and MATRIX are poured cultural and technical fest respectively. E-cell in our college provides internship opportunities to students. The start up section helps the start ups to set up. Thus, the college helps in overall personality development of the student.
