Hello,

With respect to the R& D sector what matters above all is the amount of practical knowledge and Research papers you have or research you have done. Doing internships to gain knowledge can be really helpful.

Now coming to your question of choosing which field-

According to the latest discoveries and Research going on I would suggest you to go initially for Genetics and genomes and to gain as much as knowledge you can. Genetics is a really vast and it us helpful in many ways. From genetically modified plants to genetics in curing diseases we have got everything in those tiny genes.

Further education from a deemed university can be really helpful in establishing your chance in R&D.

Thank you and all the best to you.
