Will a candidate's application get cancelled for a merit-based course, if he/she is getting admission via their entrance rank in Delhi University (UG)? (or would they consider the application for both merit and entrance, and it will be the candidates choice to select the course they prefer)

Hello,

DU admission 2020 is conducted for both merit and entrance exam. The merit list is declared through the best of four system ( for 2020 it has been changed to best 3 ) of the University of Delhi. The colleges affiliated to the Delhi University will release close to 5 cut-offs for the DU 2020 Admission. The affiliated colleges will start releasing the admission cut-off after the registrations are complete. The are more than 50k seats in Delhi University and over 80 colleges are affiliated to the University.
You can apply for both merit-based and entrance based programmes on a single application form itself and based on your marks you be allotted a college. For courses like B.A., B.Com, B.Sc. etc the admission is entrance based and at entrance based courses like BMS and BFI are also available.

I hope this helps.
