Alexa College of Education, Nellore, was started in the year 2007 and is a private affiliated college located in Yerragunta Venkatachalam, SPSR Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh. The institute has approval from the National Council for Teacher Education and has differentiated itself as an institute of repute in the sphere of teacher education. It has a campus of 5.54 acres, with a present student strength of 99 and a faculty strength of 11. Alexa College of Education offers two full-time undergraduate courses: Bachelor of Education, B.Ed, and Bachelor of Physical Education, B.P.Ed., with an intake capacity of 100 students each. 

The institution has a host of facilities to facilitate learning and development. The institutional library is well-stocked and has evolved as a hub of knowledge, having 7,899 B.Ed books, 2,144 M.Ed books, and 12 journals, besides subscription-based access to EBSCO and N-List databases. Outdoor and indoor sports facilities are also available on the campus, comprising a 400-meter cinder track, courts for different games, and a multi-gym. The IT infrastructure is also considerable. A state-of-the-art computer laboratory with 16 PCs and internet connectivity is available. Apart from these, well-equipped specialised laboratories, an air-conditioned seminar hall, and a multipurpose hall have also been provided by the college for the smooth conduction of the academic and extracurricular activities. 

At Alexa College of Education, the programs are related to teacher training, and the institution has two major courses: the two-year B.Ed. programme and the three-year B.P.Ed. programme. Both programmes are full-time with an sanctioned intake of 100 seats each. It is affiliated with the college having a total student intake capacity of 200 who will be the future educators and physical education instructors to young minds. 

The admission process to Alexa College of Education is merit-based, considering marks obtained in qualifying examinations and/or entrance tests. Admission to the B.Ed course shall be on the basis of candidate's performance at the qualifying examination, entrance examination, or any other selection process as per the policies of State Government/UT Administration and the affiliating University. The admissions to the B.P.Ed. programme are also conducted on the same lines - viz., on the basis of merit, assessed from the entrance examination marks and percentage in the qualifying examination, in accordance with the policies of the state government and university. 

The institute has separate hostels for boys and girls to ensure a comfortable living environment. Accommodation, dining halls, spacious rooms, and Wi-Fi facilities are provided for the students at Alexa College of Education. It also facilitates the commute of students through various bus routes within the institution. Though scholarship information is not made available, it pledges to quality education in a supportive environment; hence, this institution is considerate towards the aspiring teacher fraternity of Nellore.
