This review is solely based on a major disappointment i have faced by entering in this university. In comparison to any other law college, this university is slacking in a lot many ways. The college infrastructure is average and does not provide a student with much exposure. It also has a trimester system which rather than maintaining the education standard brings it down by another notch. The library does not contain the latest additions of books, though is still a better feature of the college. The professors of the college lack knowledge and many cannot even read proper english. The course material provided is really bad and reference is made to the bare act fewer times that a guest lecture in college which is also a rare phenomenon. The moot court society of the college is biased and one needs to be on their toes to impress the professors to be able to pursue the extra curricular.
On account of recreational activities, the college does not have much to provide. It has a gym but hardly any equipment. It has a ground but it is more like a road. There is no proper culture of sports leaving the students nothing to do. It is also in the outskirts of Chennai leaving no perusal for the students to enjoy the city surroundings and offerings frequently.
The examination system is very bad. Students are marked on impression and not on their ability. If they object, there degree is hampered. There is no legit process of sending your paper for revaluation. Students are failed because of stupid reasons which is ultimately hampering their career and has a huge effect on their lives in the aftermath of college.
The college needs a huge drive for improvisation even to compete with other law college in Chennai, forget whole of India.
My review is based on the comparison of another law college which has obtained similar accreditation from NAAC. The infrastructure is average. The library is compact yet not the latest. The college has smart equipment but they are not used. The professor even lacks in proper Englisch language. They read the Bareact sometimes. The college is very reserved from letting the students to cultural activities and other competitions. The college has a very biased moot committee where the teachers would end up supporting the seniors even if u rocked in your audition. The college has a huge, not maintained ground. The college lacks in Sports. we do have a gym but it is just opened and has less equipment. The examination and correction process is stupid. anyway, its a deemed university. students are failed without even allowing them to the revaluation of the paper. the comments above are just average and overall. we do have few goodies in our college but we have to improve ourselves after considering the other colleges in india.
College life is wonderful excluding academics.. faculties are friendly ... infrastructure is horrible..n the canteen its so horrible....hostel is okayish ...no extra curricular activities..this college can b fun if u find a good set of friends or else it becomes a nightmare..student can't voice out his or her opinion/suggestions...Linda boring college .....management finds all the ways to get money from u every now n then.
I'm associated with Saveetha university. It has been recruiting new faculties and they have been very friendly in nature. The infrastructure is comparable to none.It is fully equipped with the library, moot court halls, and other sports centered activities. To eradicate arrears we have a concept of break system which has been very useful eliminating stuff. We produce lawyers of high caliber with commitment. They induce professionalism in legal education and do social justice. Self-discipline and high ideals for personality are developed here. Practical and clinical learning is also done. NCC and NSS can be provided. But on the whole, it is the good experience.
The law can be a mind boggling at times with the sheer amount of facts that need to be dealt with.
The need to be liberating and refreshing over the hectic needs of a would be legality and stressing them with unwanted complications that come associated with the legal student. Saveetha School of Law helps decipher this in the most rejuvenating way possible and sets the bar high enough and saveetha is the best at what it does and that much more.
