Well the chances are really low but still there is no harm in applying. You cannot know when what would happen. So I would recommend you to apply for counseling and wait even if the chances of admission is low and you can know better later.

Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Adbanced Scientific Research, Bangalore is a multidiscipilinary research centre. It was established by the govt. of India in the year 1989. It is loacted in Jakkur, Bangalore.
The institute offers PG Diploma, MS (Research), PHD as well as integrated PHD courses.
RANKING:
It is ranked 17th in all the universities of the country.It ia accreditated "A++" by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council).
MODE OF ADMISSION:
- Candidates with an MSc, B.E., B.Tech, M.E., M.Tech, MBBS are elegible to apply.
- They should have at least 50% in their higher university examination.
- The qualifying exam for the institute are:
- GATE
- JEST
- GPAT
- ICMR-JRF
The institute offers only masters and doctrate degrees. They donot offer any under graduate program.
MS PROGRAM:
The MS program which is a three year course, the tution fee is INR 5,000 excluding all other expenses.
