College of Teacher Education, a constituent college started functioning in the year 1994, situated at Thottakkad, Kottayam District of Kerala state. Co-educational institute established and approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Sun is a pioneer institute in providing teacher education. The college occupies a small area of 0.7 acres and provides the educational experience in luxury for the students opting for the teaching profession. The institute itself has a total student enrolment of 99 and faculty strength of 10 that guarantees extra attention and quality education.

College of Teacher Education is affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University, Kotta. College of Teacher Education offers plenty of facilities for the students enrolled here to have a detailed learning experience. This facility has adorned the campus with amenities such as sports facilities to enhance the youthful talents as teachers in their physical health and team spirit. An auditorium is a place for holding events and seminars, creates conditions for the academic and cultural activities.
