About Mohamed Sathak AJ College of Engineering, Chennai
MSAJCE was founded in the year of the 2001; it is a well-known engineering college in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Located in a vast of 70 acres land, MSAJCE is affiliated college under AICTE approved and accredited NAAC. Currently the institute provides number of-engineering courses based on 12 courses in 2degree types at the undergraduate and post graduate level. MSAJCE has a student enrollment of 827 students including 813 undergraduate and 14 post graduate students and has the faculty strength of 102 members to maintain the excellent student faculty ratio.
They also have every basic need of a college student, he or she can only imagine to have within and outside the classroom in the college. The campus’ facilities include adequate sections for laboratory work, a library which boasts of a collection of over 25,430 books and 4,218 reference books and Digital Library to access our e-resources. Students are able to learn with the help of computers and the internet in modern computer classes with Internet connection in Wi-Fi networks throughout the territory of the educational institution. For the physically challenged, MSAJCE offers hostel facilities that are segregated by sexes; boys and girls; however the boys hostels are located within the school compound while the girls’ hostels are located in Sholinganallur. They provide accommodation that meets the inhabitants’ basic needs and comfortably creates an environment that is supportive for study.
As a result of the diverse interest of students and the current market needs, MSAJCE has devised different engineering programmes that can accommodate students’ interests. The college offers 14 courses total. The institute off corporations 12 undergraduate programmes comprising of B.Tech in Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Cyber Security and Computer science with business application and BE in electronics and communication engineering, computer science and engineering electrical and electronics engineering and mechanical engineering. At the post graduate level MSAJCE proffers 2 ME programmes in Structural Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering. Due to course specialization the approved intake that has been set for all courses is 532 students depending on the number of seats set for each program to intakes. For instance, B.Tech Information Technology and BE Computer Science and Engineering have 60 seats each: 30 for B.Tech Cyber Security.
MSAJCE, admission process is mainly via Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) for the undergraduate programmes and for other programmes the college follows its admission procedure. This centralised admission system minimises such problems and makes the admission criteria to be more centralised depending upon the performance of the students in the qualifying examinations as well as in the entrance tests. In as much as assessment procedures may be standard, the college may have different processes especially for post graduate candidates, and such candidates are advised to contact the college for further details. Some of the programs at MSAJCE accept scores from the Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admission, Post Graduate (CEETA-PG). The institute extends scholarships to deserving students who received reimbursement of 101 undergraduate and 3 postgraduate students in the academic year 2023.
