The School of Rural Management (SRM), established in 1995, focuses on training professionals with the right skills and knowledge to tackle the specific challenges in rural development in India. It is a school of XIM University, Bhubaneswar and runs the flagship courses in rural management.

SRM XIMB offers a year full-time Post Graduate Programme in Rural Management (MBA-RM); earlier known as PGDRM (of XIMB). In addition, the school offers Ph.D in Rural Management (part-time and full-time). Candidates must meet the necessary eligibility criteria to enrol in the institution. 

For the MBA Rural Management programme, various entrance examination scores are accepted, including XAT/CAT/GMAT/X-GMT/NMAT. XIMB Rural Management has a placement cell that oversees all the placement-related activities and has a very structured placement process. Various companies such as KPMG, Reliance, Fincare, ICICI Bank, and Fullerton India have visited the School of Rural Management XIMB campus.

The School of Rural Management, XIMB is situated on a 20-acre campus, surrounded by a peaceful and lush environment. It offers modern facilities to both students and faculty, including classrooms with Wi-Fi access, a library with a wide range of resources, a Bloomberg Lab, an auditorium, and a Management Development Centre. Additionally, the campus provides separate hostels for boys and girls, equipped with round-the-clock internet connectivity and various amenities.
