ePost Graduate Program in Health Promotion

The Public Health Foundation of India launched the ePost Graduate Program in Health Promotion in 2011; with technical inputs from Keck School of Medicine, the University of Southern California, and John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. The certification course has been designed to help learners understand key health promotion concepts.

Health Promotion training is a one-year programme and is entirely conducted online. The first eight months of this programme are devoted to learning significant health promotion concepts. Learners can choose to study any offered electives for the last three months.

Furthermore, the Health Promotion certification course is taught in eLearning mode and uses Moodle as its Learning Management System (LMS). LMS is beneficial as you can access it from any browser connected to the internet, and get a virtual classroom experience. This online eLearning program also provides participants with a certificate upon successful completion.

eCourse on Public Health Development for ICDS officials

Malnutrition has always been a major problem in India. The number of malnourished women and children in the country is one of the highest in the world. The eCourse on Public Health Development for ICDS officials by the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is designed to improve the competencies of officials working under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) scheme.

The Public Health Development for ICDS officials online course is offered by the Indian Institute of Public Health, Delhi in association with PHFI. The training aims to develop the necessary managerial and technical skills in service providers for the management of child, maternal and adolescent nutrition programmes. The six-month computer-based programme is an interactive distance learning exercise.

The Public Health Development for ICDS officials certification course aims to reinforce the technical aptitude on child-health and reproductive nutrition for officials and service providers working with the ICDS. The training comprises of recorded and e-learning live sessions.

eCourse in STI & HIV/AIDS

The eCourse in STI & HIV/AIDS certification is a six-month inter-professional programme that focuses on the HIV and STI epidemic and treatments on a national level. It looks into understanding and controlling the spread of such diseases in society. Developed by the Indian Institute of Public Health Delhi (IIPH Delhi), Anjali Singh Kulkarni, a public health specialist, manages this long-term program.

It is a six-month course that helps academicians and professionals to support their requirements relating to the field. eCourse on Tobacco Control

The eCourse on Tobacco Control by PHFI is a comprehensive programme launched by PHFI in 2011. The curriculum aims to build the participants’ health capacity quickly. It also centralises enhancing their knowledge of Tobacco control strategies, honing their skill set and proficiency in the implementation and design of tobacco control programmes.

The eCourse on Tobacco Control training has a three-month duration, and it is offered twice a year. This is an eLearning course with a comprehensive curriculum spread over 3 weeks. The programme candidates will study eight core modules and choose three elective modules out of eight options available, based on their professional and educational backgrounds.

Moreover, the Tobacco Control certification course nurtures future tobacco control professionals by delivering study material in eLearning mode using Moodle. Moodle is an open-source Learning Management System (LMS), designed to provide a virtual classroom experience. This way, students can access study material along with live or recorded lectures. Successful participants of this course will also earn certificates, post-completion.
