chhavi270102 3rd Jan, 2022

hello,

you can pursue msc bioinformatics after bsc in cbz , the eligibilty criteria is to have a degree in any science field. you can go for msc bioinformatics after bsc cbz , some colleges give admission on basis of merit while some also take entrance exam, so you need to prepare for that.

if you do not have a lot of knowledge about computer application too , then also based on your interest in this field you can go for it.

you will get to learn about it while studying , also you can gain some knowledge about computer application from youtube soruces or some short term online courses too.

Bioinformatics is a branch that deals with the hand in hand learning and development of the fields of computer science, engineering as well as statistics to process information dealing with biology.

hii i am really confused is btech in bioinformatics a good carreer like does it have jobs in india

mrinalini048 6th Feb, 2022

Hey!

A B. Tech. in Bioinformatics is a four-year engineering course in bioinformatics. It is a subfield of bioinformatics in which students study the relationship between biological features, information technology, and computer science. It is one of the fields of engineering that focuses on research rather than production and development.

Career Prospects:A B.Tech graduate can work in a variety of industries, including pharmaceutical, food, chemical, and fertiliser industries, as well as research organisations. Various employment roles are available for those with a B.Tech in Bioinformatics degree, including:

  • Lecturer
  • Developer Researcher
  • Associate Perl
  • Clinical Researcher
  • Bioinformatics Trainer
  • Bioinformatics Analyst
  • Database Designer
  • Solution Architect
  • Bioinformatics IT programmer
  • Web Designer
  • Research Associate
  • Scientific Data Curator
  • Medical Coder

Cipla, Novartis, TCS, Reliance, Ranbaxy, and Sun Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd are among the companies that want people with a B.Tech in Bioinformatics degree.

A student can get a job through a campus placement or through a voluntary search.

Wipro, Genpact, Cognizant, and other major businesses are looking for graduates with a B.Tech in Bioinformatics.

Scope:After completing a bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics, one might opt to hunt for work right away. After earning a B.Tech in Bioinformatics, a student might opt to continue their study. M.Tech, M.S., MBA, and Ph.D. are some of the possibilities accessible. A student might choose M.Tech to expand their options in the bioinformatics sector of specialty.

M.S. is a master's degree that a student chooses to help him find his way in the world. For admission to an M.S. programme overseas, a student must take the GRE entrance exam. MBA is a programme that allows students to find and work on marketing and business opportunities. After completing M.Tech, students choose to pursue a Ph.D. in order to advance in their careers.

Hope you are doing great ,yes you can pursue msc bio- informatics after bsc genetic but for that you need to fulfill the given criteria.

  • Students must have cleared 10+2 or an equivalent qualification from any board with an aggregate of more than 50% of the marks in exams.
  • Students must have taken Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Maths as the major subjects in class 12th...

Also its admission process is not so easy ,you have to crack the entrance exam which is slightly tough ,it is. A 2 year course and your exam will happen semester wise ,fees of the course can be differ from 1 lakh to 4 lakh . Hence work hard for it now and do rock.

Bioinformatics is a multidisciplinary course and it is one of the most in demand course in India and abroad.

There are no colleges in Patna which offer UG course in Bioinformatics but there are a couple of colleges which offer PG courses in Bioinformatics.

1) Patna university: PG diploma in Bioinformatics

2) Central University of South Bihar: MSC in Bioinformatics

There are few colleges in India which offer Bachelors in bioinformatics which you can surely look at:

1) Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala

2) DY Patel University, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra

3)  Annamalai University, Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu

The admission to these universities is one the basis of entrance exams like GATE.

In terms of scholarship, you can get university specific scholarship.
