In Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology, selection is done with the help of entrance exam followed by interview. If you want admission in M.Sc, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in any stream of Science, Technology, Medicine with a minimum marks of 50 percent marks. For admission in PG diploma, you must have BE or B.Tech or M.Sc degree with a minimum of 50 percent marks. For admission to Ph.D, you must have at least 55% marks in MSc or equivalent degree in science/engineering/medicine field.

NET is a national eligibility test for the lectureship in colleges or universities and to doing work as a junior research fellowship UGC. Appearing for Net in psychology candidate has to have a master degree in the respective subject with 55% marks. They should have a degree in humanities and social Science University recognised by UGC in India or have duely qualified in master degree on the respective subject. As you have passed MSc bioinformatics so this is not a subject of social science or Humanities so there is no scope for you appearing for NET examination in psychology.

M.Tech. in Bioinformatics is a 2-year full-time postgraduate course, the minimum eligibility for admission to which is the successful completion of graduation (B.E./ B.Tech.) from a recognized university.
Graduation needs to have been completed in any of Computer Science, IT, Biotech, Bioinformatics, Programming, Math, or Science. Preference is however given to candidates having completed B.Tech. in Bioinformatics.
