Food Processing
Hello,
Metallurgical Engineering and Food Processing Technology are two different disciplines. In Telangana Metallurgical Engineering is offered in JNTU College of Engineering and Food Processing Technology is offered in O U College of Engineering. You haven't mentioned your category assuming that you belong to general category here is the previous year cut off
Considering the previous year cut off you do not have chances of getting seat in JNTU or OU in the preferred branch because you do not have the cut off rank.
Cut off may increase or decrease depending on factors such as total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.
To check the previous year cut off click on the link given below https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/ts-eamcet-cutoff
To know the colleges in which you have chances of getting seat you may use our TS EAMCET College Predictor Tool

Hi Srierag,
Index marks calculation:
Marks scored in the subject you want to pursue your graduation in, in this case food technology/nutrition or whichever subject you had in your 12th standard + 10% of the total score of 'best of 5' subjects in 12th board exam.
Eg:
Your best of 5 is = 400
So 10% of 400 = 40
Now, you scored in nutrition or food science in 12th board exam = 50
So, your index marks = 50 + 40 = 90
Hope you understood. All the best!

Hi Jeya,
Yes mass recruiting companies like Infosys, Accenture, CTS etc. do allow Food Technology students to sit for their placement drives.
Often, they require only a basic knowledge of coding (that can be inculcated within a month's time) to crack the job.
Hope this was helpful.
