The Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore also known as SIET Coimbatore was founded in 2006. The institute is affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. It offers a total of 17 full-time UG and PG courses. Students can enroll in 12 undergraduate and 5 postgraduate degrees at the Institute. SIET Coimbatore UG Courses offers B.Tech. and B.E. programmes. The M.E programme is available at SIET Coimbatore PG Courses. SSIET Coimbatore is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

To enroll in UG programmes at Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, students must complete the TNEA counselling. Candidates must take the TANCET in order to enroll in PG programmes. The Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore also has a training and placement department that guarantees students acquire job training. SIET Coimbatore also provides internship opportunities to the students. The students are provided with a variety of services at the Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, including housing, transportation, a library, labs, and medical advice.
