The minimum eligibility criteria for appearing in GATE exams is that you should have either completed your graduation or you are in the final year of your graduation.

No Diploma will not be sufficient to appear for GATE. You must be at a minimum a Bachelor's degree Holder or be in the final year of Four years Bachelor degree.

The Eligibility criterion for GATE is as follows
