Other state students can appear for private engineering colleges of Maharashtra.

In order to apply for COEP you need a domicile certificate. Other state students can apply for VJTI.

In order to apply for private engineering colleges of Maharashtra you can appear for JEE Main or MHT CET exam.

JEE Main students are preffered over MHT CET.
