Yes, There is a slight advantage if you had cleared JEE mains with a good score. SASTRA ranks are published based on this calculation
(JEE mains score * 0.25) +(12th percentage*0.75)[For stream 1].
Going by the calculations, if you have a very good 12th boards percentage and a decent JEE mains score , i'm pretty sure that you're getting a seat in SASTRA college.
