Hello learner,
SASTRA Engineering College is a prominent deemed university known for its world class quality in academics and research. SASTRA allocates seats based on 2 criteria, namely Stream 1 which holds 70% of seats and Stream 2 which holds the rest 30%.
Stream 1:
The weightage for +2 marks and JEE Mains score will be 75% and 25% respectively. The aggregate JEE Mains score and the normalized +2 Score will be taken into account. The normalization process is primarily based on the topper's score. But it may vary accordingly. The amalgamated score of all students will determine SASTRA Rank and the admission will be based on this rank criterion. There is a good chance to get in if your SASTRA rank is up to 4000.
Stream 2:
30% of seats of each branch are filled through Stream 2. But hoping for this is uncertain.
Based on the above criteria, 75% of marks from your board marks is summed up, with the 25% of your JEE Mains score. Since, you've scored 75% in your boards, there are chances, where your rank may get back. So, your probability of getting in, will be based on the number of competitors and their scores. I would suggest you to, look up for alternate best colleges and not to entirely rely upon SASTRA. Since, you've appreciable percentile in JEE Mains, you can try for NITs too.
Good Luck!
