TO get the admission you can apply through the gate  or non gate but you have at least  7.00 cgpa or 65% for the general category.

IIIT Delhi provides relaxation to SC,ST,OBC,PWD and CW category candidates.Specially,candidates under these categories must have a cgpa of at least 6.0 or 60% in the qualifying degree .

Yes it is a good choices because iiit Delhi is very good regarding the academic and placement purpose.
