Hello Aspirant, The below list is arranged on the basis of NIRF Ranking of government medical college:
Hope this helps you.
Hello
Such a list should be highly personal as per your requirements from a college. What might be my ideal college may not fit your definition of a good college. So I am just going to mention a few names and tell you how to make a list of your own.
First and foremost, note down your requirements from a college. Low fee, good academics, location, social life whatever. Then you go about researching.
If your score is good enough to get Delhi colleges, I would recommend you to keep them on a higher priority since they are well established and give you an unmatched exposure. AIIMS Delhi, MAMC, UCMS, VMMC, LHMC, BSA, NDMC included here.
Language is a major aspect so if you’re from a state where Hindi is not the majorly spoken language, go for native colleges. A MBBS doctor is expected to be fluid in conversation to be able to elicit a good history and if you’re not familiar with the local language, it is going to be a turbulent journey for you.
Further if you have any plans for USMLE, PLAB etc consider older and reputed colleges over the newer ones so that you get the advantage of the tag.
Any AIIMS is a good option. However do note that those which are very new may not be fully functional yet. So apart from Delhi, 2012 AIIMS should be on your list. Other newer AIIMS may or may not be depending on your state.
Furthermore JIPMER is an amazing choice if you’re a native of that area. Lastly please do note that some colleges have bonds of service. You have to research about it individually. If you take up a college in another state, you lose out on your previous domicile state quota which is another major point to note.
Hope this helps you make your list. Let me know if you have any issues.
Goodluck!
