As an ST candidate, you would need to score the 40th percentile to qualify the exam. As per the data last year, the qualifying score was 107 for ST category. So, at the score of 284, you will definitely qualify the exam. As far as getting a government college is concerned, you may have a chance at State-level quota with ST category if you belong to Karnataka. For general category, the expected cutoff is 395.
