Hello,
Dropping a year will be effective only if you are consistent with your studies because in most of the cases students gets distracted due to some reasons.You need to practice questions as much as you can and have to focus on understanding the concepts.
To get admission in DTU with CSE branch ,you need to score around 250 marks in jee mains.However, it can vary also.

Yes definitely you can drop.if you can give one year to your study and with your all efforts and dedication.
But I would suggest not to take drop you have enough time for this year. And you can do whatever you want just calm and keep studying with your full enthusiasm and confidence.
And for DTU if you are not in Delhi quota than you have to secure rank under 3000 ( general)
and if you are in Delhi quota than you have to secure rank under 8-10 thousand.( General)
Also depends upon caste category.

Junaid yeah definitely you think of drop a year for the preparation of JEE but only if you think that you are capable enough to do so because while dropping a year you have to face the lots of consequences so be ready with that and for taking the CSE department in DTU you should have the score of atleast 150+ in the JEE mains entrance exam if you are from General Category and for the other categories students it may get vary depending upon the variation of cuttoff .
