As per the rules a candidate who is going to appear for SSC CHSL 2019 must have his/her age between 18 to 27 years for general category. This means on 1st August 2019 his/her age should not cross 27 years.

Your date of birth is 26 August 1991 and you belong to OBC category. Government provides age relaxation to SC/ST and OBC candidates. For OBC candidates the age relaxation is 3 years and therefore you are eligible to apply for SSC CHSL 2019 as your age falls under this relaxation period.

Apart from the age you must fulfill some other criteria's to be eligible for the SSC CHSL exam which are as follows:

1) You must be

a) a citizen of India

b) a subject of Bhutan

c) a subject of Nepal

d) a Tibetan refugee who came to India before !st January 1962 with the intention of settling in              India

2) Must have passed 12th standard from a recognized board or University.

( for data entry operator in the office of C & AG the candidate must have passed 12th standard in         science with Mathematics as one of the subjects.)

Every year Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts exams for various government posts. SSC carries out CHSL exam for recruitment of posts like:

Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant

Data Entry Operators (DEO).

Lower Divisional Clerks (LDC).

Court Clerks.

SSC CHSL is conducted in three stages called 3 tiers:

Tier 1 is an online-based exam and the other two are offline-based. all the procedures required are available on the official website.

The pattern of examination:

Tier 1: Objective MCQs (Online-based)

Tier 2: Descriptive paper (Hindi or English)

Tier 3: Skill test/ Computer proficiency

There is no sectional cut-off.

Eligibility Criteria:

The candidate must be minimum 18 years old and maximum 27 years old.

Age relaxation is provided accordingly:

5 years for SC/ST.

3 years for OBC.

3 years for Ex-Servicemen.

10 years for PWD.

13 years for PWD + OBC.

15 years for PWD + SC/ST.

The candidate must have passed at least 12th standard examination from a recognized board.

For data entry operator in the office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India, it requires a background in the science stream with Mathematics as a subject.

So as per the mentioned criteria, you are completely eligible to appear for the examination.
