The salary you get depends on the qualifications you have and the specialisations you have done in the field. In general, successful BSc food technology graduates on an average get a starting salary of INR 5- 8 lakhs per annum. But, as I said, it may vary as per your qualifications and experience.

BSc Food technology is a three year undergraduation course. On completion of this course, one can work under various job titles such as Food Technologist, Analytical Chemist, Organic Chemist etc. Top recruiters are Amul, Nestle, Dabur, Pepsico, ITC Limited, Agro Tech Foods, Cadbury India Ltd., Godrej, Britannia etc. Actually it is difficult to tell the actual salary as it depends on your job title, company etc. But as a fresher, you can expect a salary within 2.5 to 4 LPA. Once you gain experience in this field, you can earn more.
