Hello Sayon

As per your expected score you have good chances of getting a seat in a government medical college under state counseling. As you haven't mentioned your category and assuming it to be general, here is a list of Medical colleges in which you can get admission based on last year's cutoff for admission + your expected score range:

  • Bankura Sammilani Medical College, Bankura - 487
  • Burdwan Medical College, Burdwan - 500
  • North Bengal Medical College, Sushrutnagar - 485
  • Midnapore Medical College, Midnapur - 483
  • Maldah Medical College, Maldah - 479

However the cutoff for admission varies from college to college depending upon the total availability of seats under state counseling, also the number of students applying for admission. Use the college predictor tool to know more about your chances of admission in various other colleges as per your expected score:

Hii there , in 2018 some colleges in west bengal like Burdwan medical College and north west bengal medical College had offered seat to candidates scoring around 500 under state quota. It seems you may have chance of getting admission.  But this year cut off may rise and this because of this factor you   chances may or may not be affected,it depends on college and no. Of candidates applying also.
Let's hope for the best though.
Thank you

Dear Sayon, you havent mentioned your Category. Neverthless, in 2018, under State Quota the cut offs for various Categories have been as follows:
General Category: 479
OBC-A: 478
OBC-B: 474
SC: 349
ST: 183
Going by previous cut offs, it is a close call if you belong to General Category and OBC  but have decent chances if you belong to SC, ST Categories. Having said that, cut offs change every year and are dependant on various factors like no.of seats availble, no.of candidates appearing for the exam, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam.
