good afternoon, if you complete your MBBS from AIIMS Nagpur, you will not be eligible for the Maharashtra state quota for PG medical admissions, even though you're from Maharashtra
AIIMS Nagpur is a central government institute, and Maharashtra’s state quota PG seats are typically reserved for:
Candidates who completed MBBS from a college located in Maharashtra under the state quota system
Candidates who are domiciled in Maharashtra and completed MBBS from a state-recognized institution within Maharashtra
Since AIIMS Nagpur admits students under the All India Quota (AIQ), your PG admission will be considered under AIQ or Institutional Quota, not the Maharashtra State Quota.
Doing MBBS from AIIMS Nagpur makes you ineligible for Maharashtra PG state quota as it’s a central institute. You’ll still be eligible for All India Quota PG seats, AIIMS PG, and central counseling. For state quota PG seats in Maharashtra, you must complete MBBS from a state government medical college in Maharashtra.
