Congratulations on securing 80% thats quite a lovely score. Now I would like to tell you, though there are a few colleges that admit students based on merit but most of the top professionals colleges will intake students based on the ranks they secure in jee or EAMCET exam. Some colleges also conduct their own special exam to admit students. U will require to ans these entrance to get into any top colleges in tamilnadu or else you won't secure a seat only based on your merit. So you will have to apply next year or join a college that will admit you based on your merit.
